Certifications
My networking and cybersecurity certificates come from the Cisco Networking Academy, and all of them are verified badges. They cover switching, routing and wireless, enterprise networking and security, industrial IoT, and a junior cybersecurity analyst career path. A lot of that theory ended up in practice in the network we built for SayIt.
Learning outside the classroom
Hackathons are a great shortcut for learning something new under pressure. You get a problem, a deadline and a team, and you find out very quickly what you actually know.
